Halstead is situated on the top two floors of the “Super Co-op” building, just two blocks west of the UT campus. The common areas, including the kitchen and breezeway, have spectacular views of downtown and campus. At most times of the day, you can find members having a watch party in the TV Temple, hanging out or making art on the breezeway, working on homework around the house, or playing sports in the courtyard with members from Nueces and Laurel (the other two co-ops in the building)! We also have many social events such as Friendsgiving, Graduation Party, Around the World, and other themed parties. Our membership is composed of lots of undergrads, some graduate students, and a healthy portion of exchange students. Halstead’s meal plan includes all cultures. You’ll have meals such as spam musubi, bibimbap, South Carolina BBQ, and many more! Our house also has three weekly “midnight delights” that serve as a nightly time for us to gather and destress from the day.
If you are interested in becoming a member of Halstead, please get in touch with the Halstead Membership Coordinator at *****@***.*** to set up a tour today! If you’re not currently located in the Austin area, no problem! We’re still happy to chat about our house via email or video call. We look forward to meeting you!
